Salary: £17.34 per hour + Overtime at Premium Rates
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am - 4:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 12:00pm
About the Company
Our client is a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Bradford, specialising in the production of high-quality gears and transmission components for a range of industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator to join their skilled machining team.
The Role
As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating a variety of CNC milling machines to produce precision-engineered components to exact specifications. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure all work meets the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
Working with a range of machine controls including Haas, Okuma and Mazak.
Producing precision components in line with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
Conducting first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
Selecting appropriate tooling and adjusting machine offsets where required.
Ensuring machines are operating efficiently and maintaining high levels of productivity.
Troubleshooting machining issues and making running adjustments as necessary.
Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machines.
Experience working with Haas, Okuma and Mazak controls.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Competent in the use of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers and gauges.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
