Fabric Preparation Operative
Location: Burntwood
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Working Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Preparation Operative to join our client’s production team.
This is not an upholstery role. You will work within the preparation department, supporting the upholstery team by preparing fabrics and materials ready for production.
Duties include:

Cutting fabrics and materials to specified shapes and sizes

Measuring materials accurately

Preparing fabrics and components for the upholstery team

Handling and moving materials safely

Following measurements, specifications and production requirements

Maintaining a clean and organised working area

Working as part of a team to meet production requirements
The ideal candidate:
-
Previous experience handling fabrics, materials or similar products
-
Good attention to detail and accuracy
-
Comfortable working with measurements and cutting materials
-
Practical, hands-on approach to work
-
Able to follow instructions and production specifications
-
Reliable, punctual and a good team player
Previous upholstery experience is not required. Experience in material handling, manufacturing, production or a similar hands-on environment would be advantageous.
