Job Description:
We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Recruitment Consultant to support a government-funded programme helping young people aged 18-24 gain valuable work experience and progress into sustainable employment.
This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-focused sales professional who enjoys developing partnerships, identifying opportunities and working with employers to support their recruitment needs. You will play a key role in securing employment opportunities for young people whilst building long-term relationships with local businesses and stakeholders.
The role involves:
Developing and delivering employer engagement and business development activity to generate vacancies, referrals and new opportunities.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, stakeholders and partner organisations.
Promoting services through networking events, employer meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
Taking a consultative approach with employers to understand recruitment and workforce development requirements.
Identifying and securing suitable vacancies for customers through proactive sales and business development activity.
Matching candidates to employment opportunities and supporting the recruitment process from vacancy generation through to placement.
Coordinating interviews and maintaining effective communication between employers, candidates and employment advisors.
Gathering employer feedback to support customer progression and improve employment outcomes.
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with data protection and organisational procedures.
Working towards ambitious performance targets and key business objectives.You'll need:
Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, recruitment or employer engagement.
A track record of achieving challenging targets and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent networking, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to influence decision-makers and identify new business opportunities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional and consultative approach.
Experience of vacancy generation, recruitment, talent acquisition or employment services would be advantageous.
Good understanding of the local labour market, recruitment practices and workforce development opportunities.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Good IT skills, including experience using CRM systems, databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications.
A proactive, resilient and customer-focused approach with a passion for helping people access employment opportunities.Due to the nature of this role, you will hold a driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, you will also be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
