Job description
Due to the continued expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, dedicated individual to join our client’s assembly and testing team as a Vehicle Fitter.
Located approx. 10 miles outside of Oakham and 15 miles from Peterborough, you will require transport to get there. This role would be on a temporary with the potential to become permanent basis for the right person but will have immediate starts.
About the role as Vehicle Fitter:

You will play a crucial role in the assembly of self-propelled vehicles, including mechanical assembly of vehicle and chassis components, along with the installation of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Knowledge of diesel engines and hydrostatic transmissions is desirable.

Using hand, power and air tools with ease and confidence.

Testing complete machines ensuring correct functionality and a high level of quality.

Adapting to varying machine specifications and customer requirements.
To apply for the Vehicle Fitter role, you will need:

Keen eye for detail with a high level of accuracy

Previous assembly or mechanical experience is required, and some electrical knowledge would be preferred but not essential.

Specialist tools are supplied however it is expected the candidate provide their own basic tool kit of spanners and screw drivers etc.
The role of Vehicle Fitter is suited to anyone who has a mechanical background in either assembling, hydraulics, pneumatics, vehicles, mechanic, machinery building would be beneficial.
Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm – 40 hour paid week.
