JRS Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Manual Turner to join an established precision engineering company based in Sheffield.
This is a permanent position offering a genuine 4-day working week, with Fridays off and excellent enhanced overtime rates.
The Sucessful Manual Turner - Package:

£16.00 – £17.50 per hour

Monday to Thursday – 6:00am to 4:15pm

Fridays off

Overtime Monday–Thursday paid at time + 1/3

Friday & Saturday overtime paid at time + 1/2

Sunday & statutory holiday overtime paid at double time

179.4 hours annual leave plus statutory days

The Sucessful Manual Turner - Duties:

Setting and operating manual lathes
-
Manual turning of precision engineering components
-
Working from engineering drawings
-
Machining components to specified tolerances
-
Checking your own work using precision measuring equipment

Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
-
Following company operating and Health & Safety procedures
-
Supporting the wider workshop where required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced Manual Turner / Manual Machinist who can confidently set and operate manual lathes without supervision.
You should be comfortable working from engineering drawings, machining accurately to tolerance and inspecting your own components.
Previous experience within a precision engineering, machining or manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
