Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

Bennett and Game Recruitment are a well-established and highly specialised automotive engineering business based in West Sussex, with a strong reputation within the luxury vehicle sector.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced Tool Maker to join their production engineering team. This is a hands-on position focused on manufacturing specialist components and assemblies using traditional toolroom and manual machining techniques.
Tool Maker - Position Overview
Manufacture components and assemblies to engineering drawings and specifications.
Use manual milling, turning, surface grinding and bench fitting techniques.
Inspect components, approve first-offs and maintain quality throughout production runs.
Work with the production team to prioritise manufacturing requirements and schedules.
Support the workshop with modification of components and assemblies.
Strip, assess and rebuild vehicle sub-assemblies where required.
Operate additional production machinery following appropriate training.
Carry out general workshop duties including material preparation, cutting, deburring and hand finishing.
Complete relevant production and inspection records.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
Tool Maker - Position Requirements
Time-served apprenticeship in Toolmaking, Machining or a similar engineering discipline.
Strong experience within a traditional toolroom environment.
Competent with manual milling, turning and surface grinding.
Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Good organisational and prioritisation skills.
Able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
Proactive, practical and hands-on approach to problem solving.
Minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
Experience with gearboxes and differentials would be advantageous.
