Machinist
A leading engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Machinist to join its workshop team in the London area. This is a permanent opportunity offering a varied role working on the repair, refurbishment and remanufacture of mechanical components and equipment used across industrial applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality precision-engineered parts while supporting workshop operations and delivery schedules.
Key responsibilities include:

Operating manual lathes, milling machines, drilling, boring and grinding equipment.

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Producing components to tight tolerances using precision measuring equipment.

Supporting repair, overhaul and remanufacturing activities within the workshop.

Carrying out machine set-up, tooling adjustments and routine equipment checks.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet quality and delivery targets.

Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
Applicants should have a recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship, together with proven experience in a machining environment. Strong knowledge of manual machining techniques, engineering drawings and precision measurement is essential. Candidates must be able to work independently, demonstrate attention to detail and possess a proactive approach to problem solving.
Salary: £34,980 - £41,040 depending on experience.
