Contract Duration: Ongoing / Long-Term
Pay Rate: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour (dependent on shift pattern and pay type)
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver for an ongoing position at a busy distribution and materials warehouse in Ashford, starting at the beginning of October 2026.
This role offers steady full-time hours, clean indoor/yard working conditions, and consistent weekly pay with an established local employer.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift truck to move, stack, and load palletized goods and heavy materials.
Loading and unloading curtain-sided HGVs, container lorries, and delivery vans.
Stacking goods into high bay racking systems and transporting materials across the warehouse/yard.
Conducting pre-shift safety checks on the forklift truck and reporting any mechanical issues.
Assisting with general warehouse duties, manual handling, stock checks, and keeping loading bays tidy.
Requirements
Valid Counterbalance Forklift License (RTITB, ITSSAR, NORS, or AITT accredited certificate-must be refreshed within the last 3 years).
CSCS Card (A plus if site-based, but accredited FLT certificate is essential).
Safety Boots & High-Vis (Full PPE required).
Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience operating Counterbalance trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or yard environment.
High attention to spatial awareness, stack stability, and health & safety standards.
Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shifts (7:30 AM - 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).
Start Date: Early October 2026.
Duration: Long-term ongoing work with permanent potential.
Weekly pay via PAYE, Umbrella, or CIS options.
