THE ROLE
As an Experienced MET Multi-Skilled Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical and trim-related work as part of the vehicle accident repair process. You'll use your technical knowledge to safely strip, repair and refit vehicles while working closely with the wider bodyshop team to achieve efficient vehicle throughput and high-quality finished results.
Key Responsibilities:
·Carry out mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) strip and refit work on accident-damaged vehicles
·Remove and refit vehicle components, panels, trims and associated parts safely and efficiently
·Carry out mechanical and electrical disconnection and reconnection work as required
·Diagnose and identify issues associated with vehicle systems during the repair process
·Work closely with Panel Technicians, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers
·Ensure all components are correctly fitted, aligned and functioning before vehicles are completed
·Complete repairs within agreed production times while maintaining excellent workmanship
·Follow manufacturer repair methods, technical procedures, quality standards and Health & Safety requirements
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for an experienced and technically capable MET Multi-Skilled Technician who takes pride in producing high-quality repairs and has the flexibility to work across multiple areas of the accident repair process.
·Proven experience as an MET Technician, MET Strip Fitter or Multi-Skilled MET Technician within an accident repair centre or bodyshop
·Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim systems
·EV experience
·Ideally Tesla / Porsche Experience
·Experience stripping and refitting vehicles following accident damage
·Confident working with modern vehicle electrical and mechanical systems
·Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
·Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship
·Ability to work efficiently while maintaining consistently high repair standards
·Comfortable working to deadlines, production targets and agreed repair times
·Strong team player with a professional and positive attitude
·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous but not essential
·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
