Sideloader Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sideloader Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Stoke-on-Trent, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.
This is a hands-on material-handling role involving the safe movement of long, heavy and awkward materials and components around the factory, loading and unloading vehicles, putting stock into storage and supplying production areas.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience operating sideloader, Combilift or multidirectional forklifts. Candidates with strong FLT and material-handling experience involving large, unusual or challenging loads will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a sideloader or multidirectional forklift.
Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and storage areas.
Move long, heavy and awkward loads safely around the factory.
Transport materials between stores, production lines and manufacturing departments.
Supply production areas with the correct materials.
Put stock away into racking and designated storage locations.
Manoeuvre safely within busy factory environments and restricted spaces.
Carry out daily pre-use checks and report any defects.
Ensure loads are secure, stable and within the forklift's safe operating capacity.
Work closely with stores, production, logistics and material-control teams.
Complete stock movements and scanning where required.
Follow all health & safety and traffic-management procedures.
Experience
Previous Sideloader, Combilift or multidirectional forklift experience is highly desirable.
Strong general FLT and material-handling experience will also be considered.
Experience handling long, heavy or unusual loads.
Good understanding of workplace health & safety.
Comfortable working in a busy manufacturing or industrial environment.
Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team.
Valid FLT licence/certification relevant to the role.Subject to D&A Test
