We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established multi-franchise approved car dealer group in Bristol, for the position of Local Business Development Executive. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sale of light commercial vehicles and fleet passenger cars, focusing on developing new business and maintaining relationships with existing clients. This position requires proactive prospecting, achieving sales targets, and contributing to customer retention strategies. The Local Business Development Executive will ensure all sales and finance documentation is completed accurately and promptly, using an FCA-compliant approach when presenting financial and insurance products. Ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining professional rapport are key aspects of this role.

Manage the sale of light commercial vehicles and fleet passenger cars
Prospect for new and existing business clients within the local area
Achieve and surpass vehicle sales targets
Develop and sustain strong customer relationships, contributing to customer retention
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all vehicles, services, and financial products offered
Accurately complete all sales, finance, and insurance paperwork
Use compliant sales techniques, ensuring a positive customer experience
Provide detailed reports on sales activities, follow-ups, and prospecting efforts
Ensure all outstanding payments are settled within the agreed timescalesRequirements of the Business Development Executive:
Proven experience in automotive sales, ideally within a local business or fleet environment, or strong B2B sales background
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proactive, self-motivated, and well-presented with a tenacious attitude towards sales targets
Competent in Microsoft Office and general IT skills
