Contract Administrator
£50,000 - £70,000 + package
Central London | Long-term opportunity | Residential & Commercial Projects
We're working with a busy and growing consultancy that is looking to appoint a Contract Administrator to take responsibility for auditing and overseeing the work of Contract Administrators across a number of major projects within the capital.
The initial requirement will involve work on a large number of building cladding replacement projects for a major residential developer, alongside the audit and oversight of Contract Administration on a significant sport and leisure facility.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to take a step beyond the traditional CA role, providing quality assurance, reviewing processes and ensuring projects are being administered effectively and consistently.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
Auditing the work of Contract Administrators across a large number of cladding replacement projects.
Reviewing contract administration processes, documentation and compliance.
Identifying potential issues, inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
Providing guidance and support to Contract Administrators where required.
Auditing the Contract Administrator working on a leisure and sports related project.
Ensuring contractual procedures and project documentation are being managed correctly.
Working closely with project and commercial teams to identify and resolve contractual issues.
Helping to develop consistent processes and standards across the business.
Providing feedback and recommendations to senior management.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong background in Contract Administration alongside excellent client facing skills.
Previous experience working as a Contract Administrator is highly desirable, particularly within construction, property, residential development or another built-environment sector.
You should have:
Solid understanding of construction contracts and contract administration.
Experience reviewing contractual documentation and project records.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies or potential issues.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
The confidence to audit the work of others and provide constructive feedback.
A methodical and commercially aware approach.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating with project teams.
The Opportunity
This role offers genuine long-term potential. The initial workload is expected to provide 4-5 years of work, with the longer-term objective of developing the Contract Administration and auditing function into a standalone revenue stream within the business later on.
As the service grows, there will be opportunities to take greater responsibility for developing the function, establishing processes and potentially building a team around it.
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000
