Fridge Installer

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Fridge Installer to join a growing engineering team specialising in refrigeration systems fitted to commercial vehicles.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for installing, servicing, diagnosing and repairing refrigeration units, ensuring vehicles are completed to the highest quality standards. You'll also play a key role in supporting and mentoring junior engineers within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, service and diagnose refrigeration systems on commercial vehicles.
Install new refrigeration systems and complete repairs as required.
Repair and replace components including compressors, condensers and evaporators.
Recharge refrigeration systems and ensure optimum cooling performance.
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot refrigeration issues.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs and servicing activities.
Follow all safety procedures, quality standards and operating processes.
Support stock management and assist with ordering parts when required.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
Work collaboratively with wider engineering and production teams.
About You
We're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
Essential Requirements
F-Gas Qualification.
Previous experience within an engineering, refrigeration or manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience installing and repairing refrigeration systems.
Safety-focused approach to work.
Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
Desirable
Experience working with GAH, Carrier, Thermo King or Hubbard refrigeration units.
Experience creating or following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Knowledge of continuous improvement practices.
