Academics are looking for a Pastoral support assistant to support in a school in the Telford area. We are looking for someone who is able to; Promote pupils' personal development, confidence, resilience, and independence. Provide pastoral support to remove barriers to learning. Support improvements in attendance, engagement, and behaviour. Develop positive relationships that enable pupils to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. The role is to start immediately, on a 1 term contract, however this could be extended depending on the schools needs.
What we're looking for
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness for us to arrange one).
Classroom or youth-work experience is helpful; calm communication and a willingness to learn are essential.
Sound safeguarding knowledge and the judgement to put it into practice.Why work for Academics?
