The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Gatesman / Gate Operative to join a busy construction project in Salford Quays.
This is a long-term opportunity offering 40 weeks of work on a well-established site. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling access to the site, ensuring only authorised personnel and visitors enter the premises, and maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Managing access to and from the construction site
Checking and monitoring site visitors and deliveries
Ensuring only authorised personnel gain entry
Maintaining visitor and delivery records
Acting as the first point of contact for site arrivals
Reporting any security concerns or incidents to site management
Supporting overall site safety and security procedures
Requirements
Previous experience in a Gatesman, Gate Operative, Traffic Marshall, Security or similar site-based role preferred
Valid CSCS Card
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
Ability to work independently and follow site procedures
Construction site experience advantageous
