Experienced Plumbing Engineer Wanted London
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Plumbing Engineer to join their established maintenance team. This is a mobile role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber with strong commercial building services experience who is looking for a varied mobile role working across various sectors and sites throughout London and the surrounding areas.
You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, plumbing repairs, water hygiene compliance and minor installation works, while providing a professional and customer-focused service across the client portfolio.
The Role
As a Mobile Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial plumbing systems.
Fault finding, servicing and repairs to domestic hot and cold water systems.
Working on booster sets, pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels and TMVs.
Carrying out minor plumbing installations, alterations and remedial works.
Completing water hygiene duties including temperature monitoring, outlet flushing, calorifier inspections and TMV testing.
Supporting Legionella control and ACoP L8/HSG274 compliance.
Completing digital Site Visit Reports, job sheets and compliance documentation.
Using CAFM/mobile technology to update and close work orders.
Working closely with the Helpdesk and Scheduling Team to meet KPIs and SLAs.
Identifying remedial works and potential additional works.
Maintaining company vehicles, tools, equipment and PPE.
Working in accordance with RAMS, Permit to Work procedures and all relevant H&S requirements.
Building strong relationships with clients and site stakeholders
Participating in the emergency out-of-hours call-out rota.What We're Looking For
Essential:
NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds qualification in Plumbing or equivalent.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
Minimum 3 years' commercial building services/facilities maintenance experience.
Strong commercial plumbing and hot water systems experience.
Experience with pumps, booster sets, pressurisation units and expansion vessels.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of Water Regulations and current plumbing standards.
Water hygiene and Legionella awareness.
Understanding of ACoP L8 / HSG274 and BS 8558.
Experience with CAFM/mobile workforce systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer-facing experience.Desirable:
TMV Servicing & Maintenance certification.
BPEC / Legionella Control / L8 Responsible Person training.
IOSH Working Safely.
IPAF and/or PASMA.
Asbestos Awareness.
Working at Height and Manual Handling training.
Basic HVAC, electrical or mechanical knowledge.
C&G 18th Edition Electrical qualification.
Microsoft 365 experience.
Experience working within heritage buildings, museums, universities or high-profile commercial environments.
