A ‘Good’ Primary School within the Burnley area are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full- time basis. The role is due to commence after October half- term and is initially set to run until July 2026.
Working closely with the class teacher, you will provide support to pupils across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 classes, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment where children can thrive.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of engaging classroom lessons.
Working alongside pupils to encourage participation, confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.
Providing additional support in reading, writing and maths, both on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups.
Assisting pupils with preparation for assessments and helping them achieve their individual targets.
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the school's behaviour management strategies.
Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents to support children's overall development.
Helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported and valued.
To be considered for the role, you must have recent experience within a Primary School and possess a good understanding of the national curriculum. The Head Teacher has stipulated that they are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine passion for supporting children in their education and achieving their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
