We are supporting a leading organisation specialising in logistics and inventory management for large-scale, dispersed engineering operations. This business operates extensive physical networks, managing workplace safety, environmental policies, and compliance across numerous sites supporting critical infrastructure.
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will:
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies aligned with industry standards and legal requirements.
Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections across operational sites.
Support incident investigations and advise on corrective actions.
Promote safety awareness and best practices across diverse teams and contractors.
Maintain health and safety documentation, supporting company-wide compliance.
Possess knowledge of dangerous goods handling and transportation, including relevant regulations and best practices.
The candidate will have:
Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and handling procedures.
Experience working within logistics, distribution, or field-based environments.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Relevant health and safety qualifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
