The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established and growing international aerospace business, supporting some of the world’s leading aerospace and defence manufacturers.
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join the procurement team, taking responsibility for supplier performance, purchasing activity and ensuring continuity of supply across a fast-paced aerospace environment.

The Role
Reporting to the Procurement Lead, your responsibilities will include:

Managing supplier performance across Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD)

Creating and managing purchase orders in line with MRP demand

Analysing demand and maintaining appropriate stock levels

Building strong supplier relationships and driving performance improvements

Identifying supply-chain risks, opportunities and market trends
-
Ensuring suppliers remain compliant with relevant industry standards

Supporting supplier audits and evaluations
-
Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are achieved
The role will also provide exposure to developing procurement technologies, including AI and supplier forecasting tools.
What We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will have:
-
Procurement or buying experience
-
Strong supplier management and performance-management experience
-
Experience working within an MRP-driven environment
-
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
-
Experience within Aerospace, Defence, Engineering or regulated manufacturing would be highly advantageous but not essential
-
Knowledge of C-Class components / parts management would be particularly beneficial
-
A relevant Supply Chain or Procurement qualification is desirable
You’ll be commercially minded, comfortable challenging where necessary and capable of building effective relationships across both the supply base and wider business.
