Procurement & Supply Planner
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: Around £45,000 p.a. DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm, 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for an experienced Procurement & Supply Planner to join a growing business based in High Wycombe.
This would suit someone with around 5–6 years’ experience within purchasing, procurement or supply chain who enjoys a hands-on role managing suppliers, stock levels and purchasing requirements. This is not a management position, but you will take ownership of your own purchasing activity and work closely with teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities of the Procurement & Supply Planner:

Manage the purchasing of materials, components and equipment

Raise and manage purchase orders through to delivery

Work closely with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and availability

Negotiate pricing, payment terms and supply arrangements

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers

Source and assess new suppliers when required

Monitor supplier performance, delivery times and quality

Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information

Plan purchasing requirements based on customer demand, forecasts and stock levels

Monitor inventory levels and help minimise excess or obsolete stock

Expedite urgent orders and resolve any supply or delivery issues

Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Finance

Support cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives

Produce purchasing and supplier performance reports
Key Requirements of the Procurement & Supply Planner:

Around 5–6 years’ experience within purchasing, procurement or supply chain

Ideally experience within a manufacturing, engineering, electronics or similar environment

Strong supplier management and negotiation experience

Good understanding of stock control, inventory and demand planning

Experience using ERP or MRP systems

Confident working with purchasing data, forecasts and supplier performance

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

Commercially aware with a practical approach to problem solving

Confident communicating with suppliers and internal teams

CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be advantageous but is not essential

Full driving licence and own car for occasional supplier visits
