ACA Graduate Trainee – About The Role
Joining the firm's ACA training programme, you will gain experience across both audit and accounts while working with clients across a range of sectors and business sizes. The role is designed to give you a broad understanding of accountancy practice, with responsibility increasing as your knowledge and confidence develop.
You will work alongside experienced members of the team, gaining practical experience alongside your professional studies and developing the skills required to progress through your ACA qualification. Key responsibilities:
Assist with audit assignments from planning through to completion
Support the preparation of statutory accounts
Complete audit testing and prepare working papers
Assist with bookkeeping and accounting tasks where required
Work with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors
Communicate with clients and assist with day-to-day queries
Develop your understanding of accounting standards and audit procedures
Work closely with senior members of the team throughout assignments
Take on increasing responsibility as your experience develops
The successful ACA Graduate Trainee will have:
A minimum 2:1 degree in any relevant subject
Genuine interest in pursuing a career in accountancy
Strong academic record and willingness to study towards ACA
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
