Aerospace Assembly Fitter
Location: Bristol
Salary: £36,000-£40,000 DOE
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shift: Double Day Shift
We are recruiting an experienced Aerospace Assembly Fitter to join an established engineering business in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on precision aerospace components and assemblies within a quality-focused manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for assembling, fitting and finishing components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and approved work instructions.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and fit aerospace components to engineering drawings and specifications
Use hand tools, measuring equipment, fixtures and assembly aids
Carry out processes including part marking, serration, varnishing and deburring
Inspect your own work using precision measuring equipment
Complete production, inspection and quality documentation accurately
Maintain full product traceability throughout the assembly process
Identify and report non-conforming components or discrepancies in drawings
Maintain excellent housekeeping and follow FOD-prevention procedures
Complete routine maintenance in line with TPM requirements
Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards
Follow all health and safety, quality and company procedures
Skills and Experience
Previous assembly, fitting or precision engineering experience
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings and instructions
Confident using hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication and teamwork skills
Proactive approach with a willingness to learn
Aerospace or similarly regulated manufacturing experience would be advantageous
