Production Operative £16.40 per hour | 3-Months with Potential Extension | Rotating Days & Nights | Tadcaster (LS24)
Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Production Operative to join a leading drinks manufacturer in Tadcaster. Offering an excellent hourly rate, structured training and the opportunity to extend beyond the initial contract, this is a great opportunity for candidates with FMCG, food production or manufacturing experience.
As a Production Operative, you will support the bottling and packaging operation, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Operating and monitoring production machinery
Keeping manufacturing lines supplied with materials and packaging
Carrying out quality checks and recording results accurately
Using digital systems to record production data
Moving materials and finished products across the site
Supporting housekeeping, cleaning and basic machine maintenance activities
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Shift Pattern Panama shift rotation:
2 on / 2 off, then 3 on / 3 off
Days: 06:00 - 18:00
Nights: 18:00 - 06:00
Rotating days and nights
To be considered for this Production Operative role, you should have:
Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Manufacturing Operative, Process Operator or similar
FMCG, food manufacturing or drinks manufacturing experience
Experience working on fast-paced production lines
Knowledge of quality control procedures
Confidence using digital production systems
Good mechanical awareness
IOSH or relevant health and safety training is advantageous
Understanding of TPM, WCM or DMAIC continuous improvement methods would be beneficial
A positive, solution-focused attitude and strong team-working skills
