Buyer - Poole - Up to £35,000 per annum
Earning up to £35,000, this Buyer role is less about box ticking and more about who you are.
You'll join a small, tight knit purchasing team who back each other daily and say exactly what they think.

As a Buyer, your responsibilities will include:
Scheduling and expediting incoming materials against forecast demand, including components with lead times of 12 months or more
Generating and issuing purchase orders to nominated suppliers within your commodity area
Managing supplier relationships end to end, resolving non-conformances and price discrepancies
Maintaining accurate procurement data within the ERP/MRP system
Identifying and delivering cost saving opportunities across your commodity base
Liaising closely with production, quality and technical teams to keep supply on track
As a Buyer, your experience will include:
Buying experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally including components such as electrical parts, hoses, or rubber and fastenings
Comfort working with long lead times and shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
Confidence using ERP/MRP systems, Oracle experience an advantage
Strong Excel skills, including building and checking formulas
A resilient, straight talking personality suited to a close-knit, hands-on team
Openness to working towards a procurement qualification such as CIPS
