Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Kettering
Hours: 4 on 4 off rotation (12-hour shifts, 2 nights, 2 days, 4 days off)
Pay: £16.14 per hour
I am looking for a Production / DSE Operator to work for my Kettering-based client on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months
This role will oversee the arrangement of packaging process of the product for the downstream equipment; to maintain the production process so that planned work continues whilst ensuring close monitoring of the equipment to ensure the quality, food safety, efficiency and safety of the area while delivering on the production plan.
You will also be responsible for the safe operation and troubleshooting of the facility’s equipment and instruments, as well other duties outline below:
Operate the machinery efficiently and safely, Apply Work Health and Safety legislation and policies to maximise a safe Working environment and ensure work is carried out in a safe manner utilising Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary
Completion of AMS documents
Ensure Safety and Housekeeping standards are adhered to
Monitor the activity of the packing lines and palletiser robots and record deviations
Basic maintenance through improvement initiatives using the Company’s improvement programme.
Maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping in department
Use of software includes SAP,MES, Windows(PC based programme)
Participate in problem-solving techniques to ensure machine efficiencies
Ensure that all products packed adhered to product specifications
Ensuring effective handover to oncoming shifts
Be trained to operate a Fork Lift Truck, powered pallet truck and manual pallet truck
Need for collaboration with Various production team members on site, Logistics, Quality, Engineering and office staff
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices
Quality and Food Safety procedures and instructions to be followed
