HSE Advisor – Onshore
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria
Job Type: 4 Days Onsite, 1 Day from Home, 2-Year PAYE Contract
Salary: £275 per day

We are working with a major energy client who are looking for an experienced and proactive HSE Advisor to join their Health, Safety & Environment team based in Barrow-in-Furness.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an HSE Advisor to play an important role in supporting onshore operations, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
The Role
As HSE Advisor, you will provide day-to-day HSE support and guidance across the business, working closely with operational teams, contractors and internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing day-to-day HSE advice, guidance and support to operational teams

Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture

Ensuring compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation

Supporting risk assessments, audits and inspections

Assisting with incident investigations and identifying corrective actions

Supporting the development and implementation of HSE policies and procedures

Delivering HSE training, coaching and guidance where required

Monitoring HSE performance and supporting continuous improvement

Liaising with internal stakeholders and contractors to maintain high HSE standards

Supporting wider HSE initiatives and activities as required
About You
We're looking for someone who is experienced, proactive and confident providing HSE advice within a busy operational environment.
The successful HSE Advisor will ideally have previous experience working within the energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, manufacturing or heavy industrial sectors.
You'll also have:

NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent as a minimum

Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation

Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Strong organisational and time-management skills

The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

A proactive approach to health, safety and environmental standards
Working Arrangements
The role is based in Barrow-in-Furness with a hybrid working arrangement.

4 days per week in the office

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are mandatory office days
-
The fourth office day can be either Monday or Friday
-
Full-time office working is also available if preferred
