Warehouse Operative – Inventory Support / Goods In Near Bishop’s Stortford/Stansted £12.71 per hour Monday to Friday 8am start – 39.5 hours per week Overtime paid at time and a half Friday afternoons off!

We’re recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a busy, friendly and well-established company based just outside Bishop’s Stortford. We currently have opportunities within the Inventory Support Team and Goods In Department. These are hands-on warehouse roles and are not predominately picking and packing positions, unless needed to help in that department.

Inventory Support Warehouse Operative You’ll support the Inventory Team by checking stock, validating stock levels and ensuring records are accurate. This role involves a lot of counting, checking and physically moving boxes and stock around the warehouse. Duties will include:

Counting stock and carrying out regular stock checks Checking and validating physical stock against inventory records Investigating and reporting stock discrepancies Moving boxes and stock around the warehouse Relocating and organising stock correctly Assisting with stocktakes and inventory checks Maintaining accurate stock records Keeping warehouse areas clean, tidy and organised Goods In Warehouse Operative You’ll support the Goods In Department, helping to ensure incoming deliveries are received, checked and moved to the correct locations. Duties will include:

Receiving and checking incoming deliveries Checking goods against delivery paperwork Inspecting deliveries for shortages, discrepancies or damage Booking stock in and putting goods away Labelling and organising incoming stock Moving goods safely around the warehouse Maintaining accurate records Assisting other areas of the warehouse when required Previous Goods In experience would be beneficial but is not essential. A valid forklift truck or reach truck licence would also be an advantage, although this is not essential. What We’re Looking For
Previous warehouse experience preferred Good attention to detail Confident with counting and checking stock accurately Physically fit and comfortable moving boxes and stock Reliable, punctual and hardworking Able to work at a steady pace in a busy environment Team player with a positive attitude Safety boots required Warehouse Operative - What’s On Offer
£12.71 per hour Overtime paid at time and a half when eligible Monday to Friday – 39.5 hours per week 8.00am start Friday afternoons off – finish at 12.45pm Friendly and supportive working environment Long-term opportunity with a respected local employer Immediate start available Location Based just outside Bishop’s Stortford. Own transport is helpful due to the location, although there is also a 508/509 bus service from Bishop’s Stortford/Harlow nearby.
