Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway’s and Energy.
Their Civils division operates within the water industry delivering non-infrastructure civil packages for Tier1 main contractors. Due to continuous growth, they are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their bid team.
You will work on a flexible hybrid basis from their Cirencester office.
Responsibilities:
- As Assistant Estimator you will assist in the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process.
- Assist in developing tender strategies and compiling submission documentation.
- Support the Commercial Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and tender submissions.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Develop your understanding of infrastructure estimating, risk analysis and cost planning.
Experience required:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Estimator within Civil Engineering or construction.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of construction costing.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Salary & Benefits
