Platers & Semi-Skilled Operatives - Perth
KBM are currently recruiting for Platers and Semi-Skilled Operatives for a well-established structural steel fabrication workshop based in Perth.
These are ongoing opportunities with an initial duration of 12 weeks, with the potential for longer-term work.
Plater Duties:

Fabrication and assembly of structural steel components

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

Marking out, fitting and preparing steelwork
-
Working to quality and safety standards
Semi-Skilled Operative Duties:
-
Operating bandsaws and cutting equipment
-
Forklift driving and material handling
-
Moving steel throughout the workshop
-
Assisting fabrication teams as required
Requirements:
-
Previous experience in a heavy engineering, fabrication or structural steel environment

Ability to work safely and effectively within a workshop setting
-
Forklift licence advantageous for Semi-Skilled roles

Reliable with a strong work ethic
