Salary: £35,000 rising to £44,000 after training
Shift: 12-hour shifts, days and nights
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Operator to join a successful manufacturing business in Chippenham.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with machinery, technology and production equipment and is looking to develop a long-term career within a technical manufacturing environment.
As a Technical Operator, you will be trained to operate industry-leading digital print technology, with the role combining technical machine operation, production, quality control and problem-solving.
You don't necessarily need previous experience as a Technical Operator, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, a practical approach and the willingness to learn.
The Technical operator Role
As a Technical Operator your responsibilities will include:
Operating advanced digital print and production machinery.
Setting up and preparing equipment for production.
Monitoring machinery throughout the production process.
Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards.
Identifying and resolving basic technical and production issues.
Making adjustments to machinery and settings where required.
Following production specifications and operating procedures.
Working safely and maintaining a clean and organised production environment.
Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.
Learning and developing your technical knowledge of the print process and machinery.About You
We are looking for a Technical Operator with:
Previous experience working with machinery, production equipment or technical processes.
A practical and mechanically minded approach.
Good attention to detail and a focus on quality.
Confidence following technical instructions and procedures.
The ability to identify problems and think logically when resolving issues.
The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
A willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to work 12-hour day and night shifts.Previous experience as a Print Operator, Machine Operator, Technical Operator or Production Operator would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right person.
What's on Offer
Starting salary of £35,000, rising to £44,000 after training.
12-hour shifts covering days and nights.
24 days annual leave, excluding bank holidays.
If bank holidays are required, these are booked from your holiday entitlement.
Factory shutdown over Christmas and New Year, with these days also taken from your 24-day holiday entitlement.
Full training and ongoing development.
