We are recruiting on behalf of an established client in the building materials sector for a Sales Order Processor based at Burton Gateway. Due to the location of the site, applicants will need their own transport unless they live locally.
Position Overview: We are looking for a commercially minded, proactive and driven individual with a positive approach. As the main point of contact for customers throughout the order process, you will deliver excellent service through clear communication, a professional telephone manner and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work confidently both independently and as part of a team, and contribute to a strong “one team” culture.

Key Responsibilities Sales Order Processor:

Respond to customer enquiries promptly, professionally and accurately

Manage incoming calls while entering and processing orders efficiently

Process sales orders accurately to deliver a high-quality customer experience

Work closely with the sales team to develop business with new and existing customers

Prepare quotations, follow up opportunities and convert enquiries into orders

Identify suitable upselling opportunities to increase product specifications and order volumes

Proactively identify sales opportunities and make outbound customer calls

Develop strong knowledge of the product range and represent the business professionally as a brand ambassador

Maintain accurate information across ERP and CRM systems and identify opportunities to improve processes

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure orders are delivered smoothly and customers receive excellent service
Key Skills and Experience Required Sales Order Processor:

Experience in customer service, sales order processing or operational administration is desirable

Previous experience in a similar fast-paced, customer-focused role is preferred

Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail

A proactive, commercially aware approach and confidence in identifying sales opportunities

Comfortable using ERP, CRM and general office systems

A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
Benefits Sales Order Processor:

Starting salary of £28,000 per annum
