Social Worker – Assessment & Intervention Team
Location: Southwark, Surrey
Rate: £37.52 per hour Umbrella
Contract: Locum / Agency
We are seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker to join an Assessment & Intervention Team in Southwark.
You will undertake Section 17 Child and Family Assessments and Section 47 enquiries, complete statutory visits, manage a varied caseload and participate in the duty rota. You will work collaboratively with children, families, professionals and partner agencies to deliver timely, proportionate and child-focused interventions.
About You

Qualified and Social Work England registered.

Strong experience in children's assessment, safeguarding and child protection.

Confident undertaking Section 17 assessments and Section 47 enquiries.

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance.

Excellent assessment, analytical, communication and report-writing skills.

Able to manage risk and complex cases effectively.

Committed to relationship-based, strengths-based and child-centred practice.
