Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a large and well-established wholesale food business in Glasgow to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their busy distribution operation.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced warehouse environment, supporting the accurate and efficient receipt, storage, picking and despatch of food products to customers across the UK.
The Role:

Picking and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently.

Loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring stock is handled safely and correctly.

Checking incoming and outgoing goods against relevant documentation.

Moving and storing stock within the warehouse in line with company procedures.

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping and food hygiene.

Working closely with the wider warehouse and distribution team to ensure orders are dispatched on time.

Following all relevant Health & Safety, food safety and company procedures.

Supporting general warehouse duties as required.
About You:
-
Previous warehouse, distribution or logistics experience would be beneficial.

Experience within a food, FMCG or wholesale environment would be advantageous.

Comfortable working in a busy, physically demanding environment.

Good attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
-
Reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
-
Flexible approach to working hours and warehouse requirements.
