Estimator
Doncaster | £47,000-£55,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + £4,000 Bonus
The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity to join an established construction and fit-out contractor with a strong regional workload and a genuinely varied project portfolio.
They're looking for an Estimator who wants more than just pricing the same type of work day in, day out. The core workload is interior fit-out and refurbishment, but the business is taking on more external works and groundworks, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience across a range of sectors including education, healthcare, retail and leisure.
Whether you're an experienced Estimator or an Assistant Estimator with around four years' experience ready to step up, they're open to the right person.
The Role
You'll take ownership of tenders from enquiry through to submission, producing accurate and competitive estimates while working closely with the commercial and construction teams.
You'll typically manage around three tenders at a time, with projects varying significantly in size and complexity.
The role will involve:
Pricing construction, fit-out, refurbishment and some external/groundworks packages.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Completing take-offs and obtaining competitive subcontractor and supplier costs.
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
Working collaboratively with the wider commercial and construction teams.
Causeway and Bluebeam experience would be beneficial.
About You
You'll ideally have estimating experience within construction, fit-out or refurbishment, with strong commercial awareness and excellent attention to detail.
The key thing is that you're rounded, commercially minded and keen to progress. General construction experience would be a real advantage as the business continues to expand into external works and groundworks - they've even delivered projects such as a hospital helipad.
If you're an Assistant Estimator looking for that next step, you'll be given the opportunity and responsibility to develop into the role.
What's on Offer
£47,000-£55,000 salary, depending on experience.
£5,000 car allowance.
£4,000 EOT tax-free bonus following successful completion of probation, paid in December.
Genuine career progression.
Strong focus on work-life balance, including flexibility for school runs and appointments where required.
Early finish Fridays.
Retail and leisure discounts.
A varied regional workload and the opportunity to work across multiple sectors.
A supportive business where you can develop your career and broaden your estimating experience.
Why Consider It?
If you're an Estimator looking for more variety, responsibility and progression, or an Assistant Estimator ready to take that next step, this is a role worth considering.
You'll join a business with a healthy regional pipeline, a varied project portfolio and a clear appetite for growth while still offering the flexibility and work-life balance that can be hard to find in construction
