Principal / Associate Planner
Location: Winchester
Salary: £45,000/£60,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal or Associate Planner to join a well-established and highly regarded independent chartered planning consultancy based in Winchester.
The consultancy has an excellent reputation for providing high-quality planning advice across a diverse range of sectors, with a particularly strong portfolio of infrastructure and major development projects. Their work spans areas including transport, energy, water, wastewater, ports and marine, residential, commercial and industrial development, minerals and waste, and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious planner with approximately 3-4 years' professional experience who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking consultancy.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of projects, providing planning advice to clients, managing projects and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
Experience in infrastructure planning would be particularly advantageous, although candidates with strong experience across other areas of planning will also be considered.
The Ideal Candidate
Around 3-4 years' professional planning experience.
Strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
Previous experience within planning consultancy, local government or a related environment.
Ideally, experience working on infrastructure or major development projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organisational abilities.
Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client relationships.
MRTPI or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
A genuine desire to develop and progress within the planning profession.
