Saw Operative – Rotating Shifts
Location: Patchway, Bristol
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £15.89ph
Shift pattern:
Week 1: 06:00–14:00
Week 2: 14:00–22:00
Shifts rotate weekly.
We are recruiting an experienced Saw Operative to join a well-established, national company based in Patchway, Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a large and successful business with an excellent reputation, strong contracts, supportive management and a friendly, hardworking team.
Duties will include:
- Operating bandsaws and other relevant cutting machinery
- Cutting materials accurately to the required measurements and specifications
- Reading and following job sheets and cutting instructions
- Measuring and checking finished materials for accuracy and quality
- Carrying out basic machinery checks
- Reporting any faults, defects or production issues
- Completing relevant paperwork accurately
- Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
- Following all company health and safety procedures
- Working closely with the wider production and warehouse team
Essential requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Saw Operative or Bandsaw Operative
- Experience operating industrial saw or cutting machinery
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or similar environment
- Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
- Confident using measurements and following specifications
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and able to work both shifts
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
