Catering Assistant

Your work pattern will be 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) but you must be available for occasional flexibility to cover evening restaurant sessions and events between 8am-8pm. This is a term time only position working 36 weeks per year.
What We're Looking For
Experience working in a professional catering, hospitality or commercial kitchen environment.
Understands food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements.
Can organise workloads effectively and work independently.
Takes pride in maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
Has good communication skills and enjoys working with people.
Confident using basic IT systems and digital record-keeping tools.
Level 2 Food Safety qualification.
Duties / Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients, resources and equipment for practical classes and demonstrations
Support teaching staff during practical lessons and restaurant service
Manage deliveries, stock control and store food and consumables
Maintain professional kitchen and restaurant facilities
Promote high standards of food hygiene, health and safety and housekeeping
Support learners in developing professional behaviours and industry expectations
Assist with events, open evenings and curriculum activities
