This is a busy, varied role where no two days will look quite the same. You'll be an important part of the Accounts team, helping to keep things running smoothly and making sure colleagues and clients get the service they expect.
You'll work with people across the firm and get involved in a wide range of accounts tasks. It's a great opportunity to build your experience, take responsibility for your work, and become part of a team that supports each other. If you're confident with numbers, have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy working with others, this could be a great next step for you.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
Completing daily bank reconciliations
Managing a high volume of electronic transfers in and out of the firm
Handling petty cash
Posting bills
Making payments to search providers, brokers and insurance indemnity providers
Processing expense payments
Raising and banking cheques
Responding to general accounts queriesWhat we're looking for
We're looking for someone who's organised, reliable and has a good eye for detail. You'll enjoy supporting colleagues across the firm, take pride in getting things right, and play an important part in keeping things moving. You'll also:
Have some legal cashier experience, although candidates with experience working in a legal environment using a case management system who are looking to move into a cashier role will also be considered
Ideally have an understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules
Have strong Microsoft Office skills, including a high standard of Excel, and familiarity with accounting software
Have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
Have the confidence to work independently and as part of a team
