A market-leading FMCG manufacturer require a Supply Chain Planner to develop and execute supply plans to ensure timely of materials and finished goods, balancing customer demand, inventory levels and supplier performance.

Specific duties of the Supply Chain Planner include:
Develop supply and replenishment plans aligned to demand forecasts and production requirements
Managing inventory levels - monitoring inventory performance and mitigating against shortages and excess stock
Support S&OP process by providing insight on supply, capacity and constraints
Manage MRP parameters
Place and manage purchase orders in MRP
Ownership of supplier orderbooks
Liaison between suppliers, production and procurement teams to ensure material availability and resolve threats to production plan
Monitor and report on KPIs - supplier performance, OTIF, inventory turns, planning efficiencies etc.
Identify and implement best practice and continuous improvement across planning, procurement and inventory management
Supply Chain Planner applicants should meet the following criteria:
Previous supply chain planning (supply planning, demand planning, inventory control) or procurement experience within FMCG, retail or manufacturing environment
Experience using an MRP/ERP system, or similar supply chain planning tools/software
Strong analytical, data analysis skills and familiarity with MS Excel - Formulas, Pivots, LOOKUP etc.
Experience working with customer forecasts
Supplier liaison experience and appreciation of end-to-end supply chain issues, in a global marketplace
An eye for continuous and process improvement within supply chain operations, planning or procurement
