Stafforce Ports are recruiting Boarder Control Operative to join a inspection operations within the Humber Ports, supporting vessel, container and terminal activities across one of the UK's largest ports.
This role offers an excellent entry point into the ports industry, with opportunities to develop valuable skills and progress into plant operating and specialist port roles.
Key Responsibilities
Inspecting Cargo
Operating a forklift truck to move cargo
Operating a ped op to move cargo
Ensuring correct paperwork for all goods in
Banking Vehicles
Assisting with cargo handling operations
Maintaining high standards of safety and operational compliance
Supporting efficient port and logistics activities
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in the following would be beneficial:
Port Operations
Previous experience operating a forklift is desirable but not essential
Previous experience operating a ped op is desirable but not essential
Experience in goods in and goods out
Logistics or Warehouse Operations
Manufacturing or Industrial EnvironmentsA B1 Counterbalance licence is highly desirable however full training / licence refreshers can be provided.
