An established employer is looking to appoint a Payroll & People Administrator to support their payroll and people function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting payroll administration and employee records management across sites. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, thrives on organisation, and takes pride in delivering first-class administrative support.
The Role
As Payroll & People Administrator, you will provide essential support to the Payroll Manager and wider People team, ensuring payroll information is accurate, employee records are maintained, and team member queries are handled professionally and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Responding to payroll and people-related queries from employees and managers
Supporting the Payroll Manager with payroll preparation and administration
Gathering and checking timesheets, absence records, overtime, and pay amendments
Processing new starter, leaver, and contractual change documentation
Maintaining accurate employee records and electronic filing systems
Preparing letters, forms, contracts, and other employee documentation
Liaising with care home teams to obtain outstanding information and paperwork
Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Providing general administrative support to the Payroll and People functions About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
Confidence communicating via telephone and email
The ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook
A professional and confidential approach when dealing with sensitive information
A positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude Desirable Experience
Previous experience within Payroll, HR, Recruitment, or Administrative roles
Experience working within Health & Social Care environments
Understanding of payroll processes and employee administration Training can be provided for the right candidate, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within payroll and people administration.
