Pay Rate-£28.40 per hour Umbrella (DFE Capped Rate)
Hybrid Working
Hours- 37 per week Monday to Friday | 9:00am to 5:00pm
Duration- Initial 3-Month Contract
We are currently recruiting for a experienced Adult Social Workers to join a well-established Community Older People Team within Solihull. These positions are providing maternity cover and offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older adults while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As an Adult Social Worker, you will work with older adults within the community, delivering high-quality care management and safeguarding interventions. You will be responsible for assessing needs, developing support plans, and ensuring individuals receive appropriate services to promote independence and wellbeing.
This is a hybrid role, with attendance at the office required one day per week (Tuesdays). When not undertaking visits, successful candidates will have the flexibility to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake Care Act assessments and reviews
Complete care management activities and arrange appropriate care packages
Conduct safeguarding enquiries and risk assessments
Prepare reports and undertake court-related work when required
Work collaboratively with health professionals, providers, families, and partner agencies
Maintain accurate and timely case records
Requirements
Essential
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification
Current registration with Social Work England
Experience working within Adult Social Care
Proven experience completing:
Care Act Assessments
Reviews and care management work
Safeguarding enquiries
Court work
Enhanced DBS clearance
Desirable
Previous experience supporting older adults within a community-based social work team
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. As this role is eligible for an Enhanced DBS check, applicants are required to declare any cautions and convictions that are not protected under current filtering rules.
