LCL Import Coordinator
Location: Tilbury, Essex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00

Our client is an established UK freight forwarding and logistics company, with over 40 years of experience within the industry. Based in Tilbury, they are ideally positioned within the South East's major shipping and logistics network.
The business specialises in international freight forwarding across air, sea, road and rail, with particular expertise in Far East ocean imports and customs clearance. They work with an extensive network of overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, hauliers and other logistics partners to provide efficient and cost-effective transport solutions to customers worldwide.

The Role
We are looking for a proactive Import Logistics Executive to join an experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with freight forwarding experience who enjoys working across the operational side of imports and wants to develop their knowledge across multiple transport modes.
Key Responsibilities
Liaising with customers, suppliers and subcontractors, including shipping lines, hauliers and depots
Raising internal files
Preparing invoices
Processing supplier invoices and resolving any discrepancies
Monitoring vessel arrivals
Organising collections and deliveries to ensure customer deadlines are met
Following up after delivery to confirm customer satisfaction
Identifying opportunities to further support customers and develop the serviceResponsibilities may evolve over time in line with the operational requirements of the business.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 2 years' experience working for a small to medium-sized UK based freight forwarder
Experience using CNS and Destin8
Freight forwarding software experience; Multi-Freight experience would be beneficial
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills and a friendly personality
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
Strong team player with a proactive and dynamic approach
Excellent mathematical and English skills
