Plant / Agricultural Fitter Vacancy – Windsor, Berkshire
Our client, a well-established and reputable plant and agricultural machinery specialist based in Windsor, is seeking a skilled and experienced Plant / Agricultural Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong technical knowledge in machinery diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance to contribute to a busy workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a diverse fleet of equipment including screeners, crushers, excavators, and agricultural machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.
Benefits of a Plant / Agricultural Fitter:
Salary up to £40,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (7.30am – 4.30pm)
No weekends required

Opportunities to work on a variety of plant and agricultural machineryDuties of a Plant / Agricultural Fitter:
Maintain and service a range of equipment, including screeners, crushers, and excavators
Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify faults
Repair and replace hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical components
Assist with welding and fabrication tasks as required
Attend breakdown calls on-site and in the workshop to minimise downtime
Ensure all maintenance is documented accurately
Manage and control parts inventories and procure spare parts as needed
Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
Keep the workshop clean and organisedRequirements of a Plant / Agricultural Fitter:
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing plant machinery and agricultural equipment
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills
Knowledge of vehicle electrics and hydraulics is essential
Welding and fabrication experience desirable
Excellent record-keeping skills related to maintenance and repairs
Good communication skills and team-oriented attitude
Flexibility to perform overtime and respond to breakdowns
Willingness to learn new machinery and systems
