We are working with an amazing, fast-growing freight forwarding company in Bolton who are looking to add a Road Freight Forwarder to their expanding team.
🌟 The Role As a Road Freight Forwarder, you'll be responsible for managing shipments from start to finish, ensuring everything runs smoothly from the initial booking right through to successful delivery.
You'll work closely with customers, hauliers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure shipments are booked, tracked and delivered efficiently and on time.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing road freight shipments from booking through to delivery
Coordinating with hauliers, customers and suppliers
Tracking shipments and keeping customers updated throughout the process
Managing transport documentation and ensuring shipments are handled correctly
Liaising with the on-site Customs Team to ensure smooth customs clearance
Resolving any issues or delays quickly and effectively
Building strong relationships with customers and transport partners
Providing excellent customer service throughout the shipment journey
Working as part of a supportive and collaborative freight forwarding team 🎯 What We're Looking For Previous freight forwarding experience would be a real advantage, but it's not essential if you have relevant experience within logistics or transport and the right attitude to learn.
We're particularly interested in people who are:
Experienced within freight forwarding, logistics or transport
Ideally familiar with road freight
Organised and able to manage multiple shipments at once
Confident communicating with customers and suppliers
Commercially aware and customer-focused
Proactive, reliable and keen to learn
