Materials & Logistics Coordinator (12-Month Contract)
We are seeking a proactive and organised Materials & Logistics Coordinator for an initial 12-month contract to join our team in Cheltenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in stores, inventory control, purchasing, or logistics to play a key role within our engineering and manufacturing facility.
This varied position combines hands-on materials management with purchasing and logistics coordination, ensuring materials and products are available when needed and delivered efficiently. The successful candidate will enjoy taking ownership of day-to-day operations and making a real impact across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of stock, materials, and components.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to maintain stock availability.
Raise purchase orders and proactively follow up on supplier deliveries.
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, availability, and order status.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including transport and logistics arrangements.
Ensure materials are available to support production and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory records and support continuous improvement of stock control processes.
What We're Looking For
Experience in a stores, warehouse, inventory control, purchasing, materials planning, or logistics role.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently.
Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Competent in Microsoft Office and stock management/ERP systems.
A proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and drive improvements.
