Inventory Controller

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing organisation in the appointment of a Inventory & Goods In Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a quality-driven business where you will play a key role in ensuring all incoming materials, components and finished goods meet the required quality, engineering and regulatory standards before entering production.
You will be responsible for inspecting, verifying and documenting incoming raw materials and products against purchase orders, engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve issues, support corrective actions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Responsibilies will include:

Receive and verify incoming materials, components and finished goods against purchase orders, delivery notes and system records

Check quantities, part numbers, material specifications, condition and packaging to ensure stock is received accurately

Process goods receipts and maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system

Review supplier documentation including certificates, delivery paperwork and quality records to ensure compliance and traceability.

Identify, label and segregate damaged, incorrect or non-conforming materials, ensuring appropriate stock controls are followed

Liaise with Purchasing, Stores, Production and suppliers to resolve delivery discrepancies and material-related issues

Support investigations into supplier delivery and quality concerns, helping to minimise inventory errors and supply chain disruption

Monitor recurring supplier issues and contribute to supplier performance improvement activities.

Control the release of approved materials into stock and production while preventing the use of non-conforming inventory.

Maintain full traceability of stock through accurate recording of batch numbers, serial numbers and supporting documentation

Carry out regular inventory checks and support stock accuracy initiatives across the warehouse and stores function

Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring goods-in processes and inventory records remain compliant and up to date

Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving stock accuracy, material availability, warehouse efficiency and supplier performance
