The Opportunity
We are looking for a personable and commercially driven Travel Sales Executive to join a friendly and successful travel sales team based in Richmond.
You will combine excellent customer service with strong sales skills and destination knowledge to help guests find and book their perfect holiday. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, delivering a highly personalised service and working towards individual and team targets.
You will need to be organised, accurate and confident working in a busy environment while managing multiple enquiries and systems. Previous knowledge of at least one of the company’s destinations would be a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to customer enquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels
Understand each guest’s individual requirements and recommend suitable holidays
Use destination and product knowledge to provide informed, personalised advice
Manage enquiries from initial contact through to booking
Build strong relationships with guests and deliver an exceptional customer experience
Identify sales opportunities and confidently convert enquiries into bookings
Work towards individual and team sales targets
Accurately record customer and booking information across multiple systems
Maintain a high level of attention to detail throughout the booking process
Keep up to date with destinations, properties, products and travel information
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider sales team Skills and Experience
A solid sales background with a strong focus on customer service
A proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets
Strong commercial awareness and a natural drive to secure business
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Impeccable attention to detail
The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Confidence using several systems simultaneously
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
A high standard of English grammar and spelling
Knowledge of at least one relevant travel destination would be advantageous
Previous experience within travel, tourism or luxury hospitality would be beneficial
A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally during spring and autumn
A full driving licence would be useful but is not essential Benefits
