Raw Materials Technologist, Yorkshire
A well-established food manufacturer is looking for a Raw Materials Manager to take ownership of incoming supply on a busy production site.
This is a hands-on role, but it's as much about people as it is about product. You'll be the key link between suppliers, planning, and procurement — and the business puts real investment behind its people, with training, development, and a culture where staff are genuinely supported.
What you'll do:

Work closely with suppliers to ensure raw materials consistently arrive within spec

Manage rejections and refunds quickly and fairly when product falls short — for example, foreign body issues like blue plastic

Build strong, lasting supplier relationships so they value dealing with the site

Stay organised and responsive, so issues are flagged and resolved fast

Keep the planning and procurement teams informed so the whole site runs smoothly
What you'll bring:

Experience in raw materials, stock, or supply within food manufacturing (meat a plus)
