Location: Cardiff – hybrid working (3 days office-based, 2 days from home)
Pay: £14.50 to £16.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary, initially 2–3 months, with the potential to become permanent
Hours: Full-time, standard office hours
We are recruiting on behalf of an established and values-led organisation for a highly organised Compliance Co-ordinator to support its employee onboarding, recruitment and workforce compliance processes.
Working closely with the People, Talent Acquisition and operational teams, you will help ensure that all pre-employment checks and employee records are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with safeguarding, regulatory and organisational requirements.
Full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities
Managing pre-employment checks, including DBS, right-to-work, references and qualification verification
Supporting employee onboarding and recruitment administration
Monitoring compliance expiry dates and coordinating renewals
Maintaining accurate, confidential and audit-ready employee records
Updating HR systems, compliance trackers, reports and dashboards
Ensuring documentation is stored securely and in accordance with GDPR
Supporting audits, inspections and regulatory reviews
Escalating compliance concerns and risks appropriately
Working with operational leaders and the wider People team to maintain consistent compliance standards
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the candidate experience
Supporting the onboarding of new team members
About you You will be an excellent administrator with a methodical approach and exceptional attention to detail. You should be comfortable managing competing priorities and working with confidential information.
Ideally, you will have:
Experience in compliance, HR administration or recruitment administration
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience using HR, recruitment or compliance systems
An understanding of safer recruitment and employment compliance requirements
Confidence working with confidential employee data
A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach
Strong communication and customer service skills
A relevant administration or HR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
Some operational travel may be required, so flexibility to support the wider needs of the business is important.
